Our lips are healed

This just in! Lip gloss may increase your risk of skin cancer!

I just read this and thought I’d pass it along. Fortunatley, laziness usually prevents me from putting anything on my lips during the day but I’m going to take this new research into account and look for glosses with SPF in them

  1. Thanks for the heads up! I will be sure to look into this further. My follow up question to this article is (maybe I just didn’t read thoroughly enough but) what are the adverse effect of wearing sunscreen on your lips and ingesting it? I guess you could buy a product with zinc as a barrier. Hmm very interesting indeed!

    Thanks Fluvial!

  2. Ugh, I heard somewhat similar stuff about hair dye and color enhancing shampoo….. eeek!

  3. My lips are doomed. My daily lip gloss is akin to my daily coffee…it’s gonna take considerably more than a study or two for me to ditch them! 😉
