Mt. Vernon Tulip Festival

Every year around the middle of April, the Skagit Valley of Washington is filled with fields of brightly colored tulips.  Since the weather is usually good in that area, they have a festival to celebrate which draws families from all over the state to wander around and get their garden on.  We were a little late getting there this year (last weekend in April, oops) but there were still a few tulips left.  I get a lot of joy out of foliage of all sorts so I was in heaven looking at all the colors.  Here are some pics:

  1. What great pictures!!! I wish we had made it! 😦 Probably too late now… .:(

  2. Yeah, we got there too late in the season too. Most of the smaller farms had already cut their flowers but this one stayed open a little longer. Still a pretty drive though!
